Google Certification Exam

Wow! Now I am a Google Certified Educator. It is a good feeling and the perfect end to this course. I will confess that I did not have high hopes for this exam. I failed every practice test when I started practicing online with Google for Education: Fundamentals Training. I would spend 20 to 30 minutes at night reviewing and then have to sleep on the thought that I was failing every time. I found the practice questions intricate, and I was thrown off by those questions with more than one answer. So, I stopped doing that for my self-esteem and researched tips and tricks to take the exam. After a couple of videos, it became repetitive, and I decided not to stress about the exam.

Finally, I relied on my experience using different Google tools, especially research skills. All the videos I watched mentioned the time window would be enough to research any question I would need extra help with. Therefore, I took advantage of this technicality and completed the test in one hour and 30 minutes.

Although I am excited about the outcome, I still need to learn to fully exploit this new achievement, besides offering help with Google tools at my site. Working with a student-teacher recently, I realized they are not fully trained in education-technology tools. This would be an excellent place to start.
